A Fountain Valley man is suing Heineken and The Kroger Co after he allegedly found two dead geckos lizards in a can beer he bought at a local Ralphs supermarket. A lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court on Friday, George Toubbeh alleges he suffered severe abdominal pain in August 2015 after he drank from a 24-ounce Heineken he bought from a Ralphs chain owned by Ohio-based Kroger in Fountain Valley,  According to the suit, Toubbeh said he noticed that the beer had a foul taste and he immediately began having abdominal pain and started vomiting. His daughter examined the can of beer and found two juvenile leopard geckos inside, the suit states. Geckos are a type of lizard. When discovered, the geckos had not been decomposed at all and were likely alive when the beer was poured and sealed into the cans in the bottling and/or canning facility,” the lawsuit states. A new  report  by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has revealed how over N11 trillion meant to provide regular electricity supply was allegedly squandered under the governments of former presidents  Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua  and  Goodluck Jonathan. According to the 65 pages report that was launched today in Lagos, ' the total estimated financial loss to Nigeria from corruption in the electricity sector starting from the return to democracy in 1999 to date is over Eleven Trillion Naira (N11 Trillion Naira). This represents public funds, private equity and social investment (or divestments) in the power sector. On Tuesday, a 10-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his brother during a game of 'Police and Thief'. He pointed a rifle he didn't know was loaded.   According to Police reports, the incident happened at a rural home in Loganville in Wisconsin's Sauk County. The boy was playing with his 14-year-old brother and another child. They were toying with a rifle that had the magazine removed but still had a round in the chamber. When the boy pulled the trigger, the bullet struck his older brother in the chest and he diedon the spot adding to the nearly 1,300 children who die annually from gun-related injuries in the US. Authorities say the incident is still under investigation and no one has been charged yet.

A husband has been charged with murder after shooting his naked wife and her lover dead when he caught the pair having sex. Juan Carlos Garcia, 42, is believed to have admitted to killing Sandra Castellanos, 39, and her boyfriend Noe Gomez, 35, at their family home in Atlantico, Colombia.  The security guard suspected his wife was having an affair while he was working night shifts and planned a trap to “catch her with her hands in the dough”, according to police. The couple’s three children were sleeping in the house when Garcia allegedly pulled a handgun on the couple, shooting them at around 9pm on August 4. .Garcia was tipped off about the couple’s secret tryst by neighbours and pretended to go to work so he could catch Castellanos and Gomez in the act. A young Kansas couple mysteriously died in a car accident just a day after they celebrated their wedding. Austin Wesson, 19, and Rebekah Bouma, also 19, were married on Friday. A day later, their truck struck an embankment and crashed into a tree about two miles east of Clearwater, Kansas, according to the Wichita Eagle. Wesson was pronounced dead at the scene, while his wife Bouma was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where she died on Monday. A 45-year-old man slumped and died last Sunday after having sex with his girlfriend at her apartment in War College Estate, Gwarimpa, Abuja. A police source said the deceased visited his girlfriend identified only as Bridget at about  10:00a.m.  and was preparing to leave after they made love. The woman, who reported the matter at the police station, said she was in the bathroom when her lover slumped and died. The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, said the woman was in custody and the body has been taken to Asokoro District Hospital for autopsy. Lagos State Government has given street traders and roadside mechanics in the Marina axis of Lagos Island 72 hours to vacate or risk arrest and prosecution. In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on the Central Business District  Agboola Dabiri , he said the directive came from  Governor Akinwunmi Ambode  saying that the masterplan for the state has no place for roadside mechanics, and that the government has vowed to bring environmental sanity to every nook and cranny of the state.According to him,  'we seek total compliance with this directive given to mechanics to vacate within 72 hours. There is no place for roadside mechanics, street trading and illegal shanties on Marina. Cleveland Police Department have confirmed that a 4-year-old boy is in serious condition after he was shot in the head in an apparent road rage incident. Police says the shooting happened while a mother was driving her 4-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter.  After the mother honked her horn to pass another car blocking the road, the car allegedly followed the mother onto the freeway and fired shots into the woman's car. The 4-year-old has since undergone surgery to remove bullet fragments and preliminary information indicates the bullet fragments did not penetrate his brain while the 7-year-old girl suffered minor scratches from shattered glass.

Athletes staying at the Tower Hotel for the World Championships in London have been struck by food poisoning, event organisers have confirmed. The Public Health England says about 30 athletes and support staff have been affected. Botswana's Isaac Makwala, who is considered to be the main challenger to Olympic champion and world record holder Wayde van Niekerk for the 400m, withdrew from Monday's 200m heats after a reported bout of food poisoning.
